The wait is over – the prestigious and highly anticipated World Series of Poker festivities on Natural8 is finally here! Having kicked off with the U.S. leg on WSOP.com earlier this July, hopeful players all across the globe are now getting their chance to capture an official WSOP gold bracelet in the upcoming games. The 2021 WSOP Online happening from August 1st through September 12th presents an exciting lineup of 33 bracelet events, followed by the annual live series beginning on September 30th for a more extensive offering of 88 bracelets up for grabs.
WSOP Online 2021
The WSOP Online international leg whilst open to numerous countries, is unfortunately restricted for players geo-located in 80 respective nations due to specific and limiting restrictions imposed by each location. Luckily, for those interested in playing these games, Natural8 is here to provide you with a proper guideline on how you can access the network’s great value tournaments and carry on to take part in the Las Vegas events soon after.
With thousands of players keen on joining the action on the virtual felt, Natural8 answers some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to jumpstart your WSOP journey. If you have other queries besides those stated below, you are encouraged to reach out to our 24/7 live support at www.natural8.com for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions
I reside in a restricted country and would like to play in the August games, how can I do so?
Unfortunately, we cannot bend the rules regarding restricted countries even during the WSOP. Instead, many players opt to travel to a neighboring country where Natural8 is allowed to legally operate. You are welcome to check in directly with us via chat or e-mail to verify beforehand if your plans would allow you to be eligible for play.
A temporary registration in these cases would usually be valid given that the player provides proof of presence in the regulated country. Connecting with our helpdesk to submit necessary documents for clearance and other questions in relation to your location is the best way to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the upcoming 2021 WSOP Online.
Is my bankroll safe under the Natural8 platform considering a temporary stay in another country?
Yes, Natural8 is a licensed company operating in full compliance with all legal requirements. We are more than willing to communicate with you the best withdrawal options for your winnings and other deliveries (possibly a bracelet!) concerned.
I am a US citizen planning to take a short trip to Mexico/Canada, would my nationality be a problem?
Directly speaking, no. Nationality is not an issue once you are geo-located in a listed country for the duration of the tournaments. The entire 33-bracelet event schedule will be made available to you, as well as the rest of the games hosted on the Natural8 client.
Aside from location issues, players are also reminded to prepare alternative payment methods should they wish to travel out of their restricted country. Some may find their credit cards unable to access funds through the platform depending on the issuing country.
Verifying account details including proof of address and funds is also encouraged prior to jumping in on the virtual action. This is done to ensure your account limits are sufficient for the awaited games and avoid any other problems you may encounter on your way to a WSOP bracelet event final table. Just like last year, anyone making it into the final table is required to play under their real name (in place of their Natural8 nickname), joining a WSOP tradition that stretches back to 1970. Rest assured, Natural8 will not share your information, and all your details will remain confidential.
WSOP Road to Vegas Main Event
As equally exciting as the WSOP Online games, the live festivities in Las Vegas scheduled for September 23 through November 23, 2021 lives in every poker player’s dream. To actually be there and relish the hustle-and-bustle of the thousands of players competing for one prized gold bracelet and of course, the hefty payout along with it, stands to be a different feel from the newly available online events. While the Covid-19 pandemic has made it daunting for many to travel out during this time, a lot of players cannot deny their longing for last year’s missed games.
For those players considering jumping on a plane to Vegas for an action-packed September, Natural8 has made it even easier to do so this time around. Beginning August 1, players will find a series of WSOP Main Event Vegas Package satellites valued at $12,500 running daily. The package not only includes a $10,000 entry to the WSOP Main Event, but also $1,250 for Round Trip tickets to Las Vegas and a seven-night stay at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. For any event that the package winner would be ineligible for travel, $10,000 in tournament dollars will instead be credited to his account.
The global pandemic has indeed put a huge damper on everyone’s usual WSOP plans yet it remains possible to some extent. With the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant resulting in increased cases worldwide, eager travelers may find themselves in the midst of uncertainty at this time. Highlighted below are some notes to keep in mind:
- International Travel
Travelers coming from foreign countries are required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to present negative test results no more than 3 days before their flight or documentation of recovery, regardless of vaccination or antibody status.
“Passengers must be tested with a viral test that could be either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT). Examples of available NAATs for SARS-CoV-2 include but are not restricted to reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP), transcription-mediated amplification (TMA), nicking enzyme amplification reaction (NEAR), and helicase-dependent amplification (HDA). The test used must be authorized for use by the relevant national authority for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 in the country where the test is administered.”, as stated in CDC guidelines.
- Domestic Travel
For fully vaccinated individuals, CDC recommends wearing a mask aboard forms of public transportation and to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms thereafter. However, for unvaccinated travelers, taking a viral test before and after travel is encouraged in addition to the usual safety precautions, to monitor risk and avoid any spread of the disease.
- Travel from Restricted Countries
The Presidential mandate to ban travelers coming from European Schengen area (Germany, Italy, France, Austria, and many other countries), UK, Ireland, Brazil, China, Iran, South Africa, and India during the 14-day period preceding their entry remains in effect as of today. Players residing in these countries may still travel to the United States given they proceed to a non-restricted country two weeks prior to their intended arrival.
While this year’s live event attendees may not be up to par as what we have seen in previous years, the full schedule of 88 bracelet events prevails to be as enticing as it is. Players making their way to the entertainment capital will be glad to know that the shining city is once again receiving the attention it craves. This summer alone saw a live poker boom across the popular destination, recording smashing successes throughout its tournament offerings, and with the majority of its population already vaccinated, there’s no way the annual WSOP festivities shouldn’t also be.
