The fastest growing online poker network has announced another major promotion; this time it’s aimed at the low to mid-stakes players. To celebrate the second anniversary of the weekly GGMasters, a special Overlay Edition will be held on 20th March 2022.

With an incredible guarantee of $5,000,000, it is almost certain to result in a major overlay and provide additional value for all participants. The network operator shows its gratitude for the rapid growth throughout the last few years, which has put GGPoker Network (GGPN) among the industry giants.

For what seems to be the highest value tournament ever, the guarantee has been raised to ten times the usual prize money and a massive overlay seems all but guaranteed. The tournament, with a price tag of $138 + $12, usually attracts a few thousand players and has a $500,000 guarantee. However, more than 36,000 entries are required to cover the ambitious goal and that appears to be a very tall task.

Unlike most other major tournaments on the GGPN, the GGMasters is a Freezeout, and players only have one unique entry. This concept doesn’t change for the special GGMasters Overlay Edition either. Across all operators on the entire network, players are only allowed to enter once for their shot at glory and a potentially life-changing payday!

However, the event will cover all regions and time zones with three available starting days on 20th March 2022. This includes a flight dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region, which can be accessed via Asia’s leading online poker site Natural8. All those making it through their respective Day 1 will then return on Monday, 21st March 2022, to burst the money bubble and battle for significant prizes.

GGMasters Overlay Edition Schedule:

20th March: Asia Flight at 12:00 UTC
20th March: Europe Flight at 17:00 UTC
20th March: Americas Flight at 22:00 UTC
21st March: All survivors return for Day 2 at 17:00 UTC

Players with lower bankrolls who cannot afford the direct entry also have the chance to win their buy-ins through various satellites. In order to make it easier for the players to locate the satellites, the poker client now features its own tab dedicated to the anniversary tournament. With as little as $5 and up to $15, players can win their entries for each of the three flights.

Beyond that, the same tab also features the other weekly GGMasters tournaments such as the $1,050 High Rollers ($1 million GTD on Sundays) and the $300 Bounty edition ($500,000 guarantee). They are part of an expanded schedule, which has emerged throughout the last two years following the successful introduction of the GGMasters Series.

The weekend of 20th March will certainly be one to remember for poker players from all over the world. After all, fellow industry giant PokerStars will be hosting the $215 Sunday Million Anniversary edition that comes with a $10 million guarantee. Both main competitors will go toe-to-toe once again as their tangle for the top spot continues.
